It's a Struggle

Romans 3:9
Well then, are we Jews superior and better off than they? No, not at all. We have already charged that all men, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin [held down by and subject to its power and control]

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! For we have previously charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin,

Under sin. I have never seen it like this, held down by and subject to its power and control. That is how we came into this world and how we will leave if we do not struggle. It's like sin is holding us under water and if we do not struggle and resist we will drown. It is a fight we all have to fight and one we cannot win on our own. Jesus won the fight. We have to accept that it was for us.
